How do you do?★+゜

My name is Misaki Uchiyama. Please call me "Misaki"ヾ(*´∀`)ノ. I'm a third grade student in Yamanashi University. I study International Culture and Language. Especially, I learn English. But I'm nervous now, because I'm poor at writing, listening and speaking English... English dictionary is necessary for me(*-ω人).

There are five members in my family, my father, mother, younger sister, grandmother and me. My mother is a Brazilian. But I am a Japanese. She is not related by blood with me. I like her cooks. She is good at cooking both Japanese food and Brazilian food.

I have a boyfriend. His name is Nori. We belonged to "Kyudo" club. Do you know Kyudo(弓道)? It is Japanese archery. I love it. I have done it since I was a high school student. I go to school everyday in order to only do it!!

I'm very shy so I can't be friend actively with not only international people but also Japanese... So this opportunity is important for me to widen a circle of friendship!!
Nice to meet you♪(・∀・)★゜

I've always been interested in archery though I've never done it or belonged to an archery club. What do you like most about it? What type of Brazilian food and Japanese food do you like best? My favorite Japanese food is onigiri but I haven't had much Brazilian food. :) ~Ana

During my time at Toin Gakuen I briefly studied Kyudo, though I wasn't very good at it. Even from up close I couldn't hit the target, let alone from the full distance of the court. However, I hope that I will have a chance to try again when I'm next in Japan. Like my classmate Joe, I am a part of the local Judo club, so I understand your devotion to the sport. At Toin, the Kyudo club was girls-only, so you're lucky that your boyfriend can be in the club with you. --@ Tân

Hello Misaki,

Aww... don't be nervous while trying to speak and/or type in English. We will be kind and helpful so you can improve your language skills. The more you try, the better you will be because you will be practicing your skills. Don't feel bad, we need so many Japanese books, like a Japanese dictionary, a Kanji dictionary, and then usually our textbook with grammar points. Both of our languages we are studying are very difficult.

You do Kyudo! That is so cool! I would like to, but its not very available in the U.S. I used to do Archery for target practice when I was younger. I liked it a lot, but I outgrew my bow and it is too small for me to use nowadays.

Nice to meet you, and we hope to hear from you soon.

Nice to meet you Misaki. I like Japanese and Brazilian food too, you're very lucky to live with someone who can cook both^^ That's great that your boyfriend and you can share Kyudo, I've never done it before, but it looks very interesting. My girlfriend and I did Judo at my university, but we broke up, so now I have to fight my ex-girlfriend during practice ><; haha

So what are you planning to do after college?? do you know what kind of company you want to work for??

Hi Misaki. Kyudo sounds very interesting. I have done archery here in the United States and I wonder what the differences are.
I guess you get to eat a lot of interesting foods. That is good. I enjoy trying many different things to eat myself.
It was fun reading your post and good luck with your English studies!

Thank you for your comment. I'm really happy. I'm sorry I don't know how to spell my favorite Brazilian food... I'll ask my mother. I love sushi, misoshiru, natto and so on. They are healthy,so good for me, because I'm plump..(>_<)I want to talk about kyudo, but I can't stop talking about it! Someday I'll post it!

Hello, thank you for your comment.I am cheered up by your gentle words. I want you to advise for my English if I say something off the point. I love kyudo, but I have never done archery. I want to do it, but my university doesn't have a plant for it. It is unlucky for me.

Nice to meet you, too! And thank you for your comment. Oh, you broke up with your girlfriend...I'm sorry to hear that. I always quarrel with my boyfriend. He does kyudo better than me, so he always teaches me it. I don't want to lose him, for me, he is my rival! I worry about my future. Before I have a dream that I want to do survice industry. But recently I think I am not suited to do it. If it isn't any bother, please give me some advice for my job hunting.
