I have a family, father, mother, and young sister. They like traveling. We travel once a year. This year, we are going to go to Kyoto. Do you know Kyoto? It is famous traditional city in Japan. If you come to Japan, I recommend you to go there.
My hobbies are listening to music and playing the instrument. I belong to wind orchestra club in Yamanashi University. I play the percussion. I listen to not only classical music but also foreign pop music. I want to talk about music.

Nice to meet you Miho! My name is Joseph. I like music too. Hamasaki Ayumi, and Yoko Kanno are my favorite Japanese stars. You're majoring in international culture, that sounds interesting. I have never been to Kyoto, only Tokyo and Saitama, I'll have to go to Kyoto someday. What kind of Japanese music do you like? What kind of American music? What instrument do you play? I don't play any, but always wanted to learn.
Hello Miho! My name is Catherine. I have been to Kyoto! I went the summer before I left for college. It was so beautiful! I really want to go back, which is why I am studying Japanese, so I can go and be able to actually talk to people. I also went to Sapporo for an exchange program with my high school. It was a lot of fun.
In high school I was in the orchestra and played the violin. Unfortunately, because I am a science major I have no time to play anymore. I also like classical music. I listen to a lot of rock as well. Do you know any American rock bands? Your English is very good! I wish my Japanese was a good as your English.

I like Japanese pop and rock music. Yor favorite musicians are popular in Japan. Recently, I often listen to American pop and rock music. My favorite musicians are Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne. Do you listen their music?
I play the drums, keyboard, and timpani. I think you can play these instruments easyer than other instument.

Did you go to any temples or shrine in Kyoto? In Sapporo, I ate Sapporo Chinese noodle.
It is difficult for me to play the violin! I know American rock bands Bon Jovi. I have played the drums in rock band when I was high school student, I often listen to rock music. Do you know Japanese rock bands?
