Nice to meet you.

Hello. My name is Yuki Sasahara. I’m a third grade student in Yamanashi University. I belong to the department of International Culture. Now, I live in Yamanashi alone. My hometown is Fujinomiya in Shizuoka prefecture. Do you know Mt. Fuji? It’s the highest mountain in Japan. There is it. So it’s a beautiful sight of it from my home. I like my hometown very much.

Now, I play basketball in club. I have played it for long years. My teammate are all good friend. We are full of vigor. My position is forward. My role is to run. Anyway I run!! And shot. I was good at three point shot. But recently, I’m not satisfied with the shot. I have to be in practice more.
Two month later, I will have a championship. It will be my last game. I will retire. So I practice it very hard to do my best in the game. I'd like to report the good result to you.

I like eating very much. Now I do part time job in restaurant. The name of it is “pasta-ya”. So it’s special restaurant of pasta. The foods are delicious each and every. And I can get great boarding. I’m happy everyday. Besides I can know many recipe not only pasta but also dessert. So there is best part time job for me. From now on, I will insert the photo of the menu that I eat or cook. Please looking forward to renew my blog.

I have heard much about Mt. Fuji though I've only seen it a few times in pictures. I bet it is very beautiful. I enjoy eating as well. What is your favorite dessert? I like anything with chocolate. I'm interested in seeing the menu! ~Ana

How do you like living alone in Yamanashi? Does your restaurant serve Western pasta or Japanese pasta or both? It has been a long time since I had a good bowl of soba... Could you make that for me? I used to play basketball, but I haven't been on the court for many years. Now Judo, Kendo, and Western Fencing are my only sports. I wish you the best of luck in your championship!

Hello Sasahara-san,

Ah, Fuji-san! It is part of classic iconic imagery we typically see in the West of Japan. I like looking at art and photographs of the country, especially of Mount Fuji. My favorite art of Japan comes from artists like Hokusai and Hiroshige.

Are you a cook at "Pasta-ya"? it sounds like a fun part-time job. I like cooking, but I never seem to have the ingredients I need. Also, I have no patience when it comes to making food, so I usually just make Ramen or frozen meals.

Hi Yuki,
It is great to hear that you enjoy your job at the restaurant. That must be fun, especially the free food. I wish I knew how to cook, maybe if I worked at a restaurant I would know how!
Good luck with your basketball training!
